Who are you marketing too? Is it the family of 2 who are working in the auto industry and are wondering were their next paycheck is coming from? Is it the family with their first child, living in an apartment or renting who are both making 12 dollars per hour? You certainly can market your school to these people. Let's face it there are enough of them right now and their kid's need martial arts, right? Yep......you are right, but it is a very hard sell!

Now, if your school is in the right area you could market to professionals with children the right ages and this will work, to some extent. Money is not a problem, but you must convince them that their children NEED your service. But that is what marketing is about.(great place for referrals!)

Now let's take a real look at why the economy is in trouble.  The news has it's view, then there is the truth. The first and news worthy reason is the mis management of banks and the Big 3. Yes, this had an impact. It caused uncertainty in the markets and panicing people sold off stocks. The auto industry has also taken a BIG hit(mostly due to poor management), but this still affects only a small part of our economy. So what is the 'real' reason? The big spenders, the Baby Boomers have stopped spending money. Why? As you grow older you want and need less, especially when the generation as a whole was so successful.

So do you see your new target market? That's right "The Baby Boomers", not them, not their children anymore, but there GRANDCHILDREN.

That is all I will say for the moment, you can This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it me any questions and I will write more later.
