NAPMA your thoughts 2 Years ago

What do you think of NAPMA. I am a former member, I dropped them back in 2004.
My reasons for quitting were numerous. One was the lawsuit with them John Graden and Century. Once Century took over I was out.
Now on a different note I found the quality of the monthly package just kept going down. Same ads, same stories, nothing new.
Currently Stephen Oliver is heavily involved with them. I was a coaching group member for about 6 months (at $1000.00 per month). From a financial standpoint that was very difficult to do. I was also not really happy with the amount of direct contact with Master Oliver.
Your thoughts?

Oliver is a smart Business man because not only has he created a franchise but he now benefits from those not a part of his franchise. The quality has severely took a swing for the better as it wasnt a marketing toy for Century anymore.
1. I don't agree with the astronomical pricing - but its supply and demand.
2. His franchise will always be two steps a head of all napma members to insure supremacy of his franchise, yet will do the right stuff to keep your school open for him to benefit from you. BTW who can blame him? I am sure most people would love to be him.

I am glad to hear that. When I left the stuff was just trash. (Century days). I was in Oliver's coaching group for about 8 months back in 2004. He is an amazing guy, but he is very hard to reach. When I think of a coach I want him to be easily accessible.
I know a very of the people in his inner circle. They will do very well learning from him!

I have had the honor of studying in secondary education and human services and management programs in college. They are moving towards more of training individuals in a non formal version of those type of programs.
Right now they are bringing in professionals from outside the martial arts business to fix the mindset of the industry.
As far as the advertisement is concerned it has been hit and miss. Under century it was just a total miss year after year.

I haven't seen much of their new stuff. My understanding is NAPMA2 was replace by Master Oliver's new products and ideas. Century cost NAPMA a lot of members.

The fact is that they repackaged the whole napma organization and it is more like MATA now. They still send their videos through the mail but sounds of success, the ads, flyers, and the rest is available for downloading on the members area.
